How are we all today? I hope your day was a good one. So today I would like to talk about unity. This post may not be full of Christmas cheer and memes but that doesn’t make it any less worth reading.
2017 has been a very intense year. So much has happened over the last 11 months that we struggle to keep up with it all. Remember the phrase making mountains out of mole hills? Rumours can be started and we can get worried over nothing. Occasionally, something big will actually happen. But we must remember that the way we react can make all the difference. If we sit and complain, what good will that do? If we let it worry us who will that help?
“Ignore them and they will go away.”
In my opinion, this isn’t always the best advice to give. If we ignore a problem for too long it can become too big to handle. But when we address it we need to be mindful, don’t give the problem the wrong sort of attention.
Don’t be afraid to speak your mind and stand up to bullies. All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing. If we stand up to hatred and show we are determined to stick together and that we have each others’ backs we can beat the bad vibes!
I am not saying that you print a bunch of positive quote t-shirts, grab a megaphone and yell, “Peace and love” at everyone you see. (This sounds like an item on the GISH scavenger hunt😂) But what I am saying is that instead of letting bad things that upset you feed on your bad feelings, you can tell people:
“I don’t like that. I think we should all just get along, I’m human and so are you. It’s 2017 people!”
I think that we can’t ignore what happens in the world, even if it’s not positive energy. But we can’t let it rule our thoughts, speech or actions. Everyone has a voice. One person can’t change the world on their own. But they can speak to the hearts of others and open their minds. Sometimes words aren’t enough. We need to show our solidarity to our fellow human beings. You could give your spare change to charity, donate what you have. Even if you just let someone go in front of you in a queue, that shows that you want to spread love and not hate!
That was my letter to the world. Please share it with others and spread the love.
Peace✌️, Love💜 and Noodles🍜
